Congratulations to 6th Class pupil,  Eoin Daly who has been selected to represent Waterford in the Primary School Football Game against their Clare counterparts which will take place in Fraher Field, Dungarvan on Sunday 23rd May.  The match will precede the Waterford V Clare Senior Football Munster Championship Game.

INTO 7aside 10

I.N.T.O. 7-a-side Hurling

 

Scoil Lorcáin travelled to Ballygunner GAA Grounds on Tuesday of   last week to take part in the I.N.T.O. 7-a-side Hurling Competition. Scoil Lorcáin had good victories over St. Declan’s, Stephen St. and Mount Sion and were beaten by Ballygunner.  However as Ballygunner had also lost one game, Scoil Lorcáin went   into a play-off to decide who would qualify on the day.  In a very close game Scoil Lorcáin lost out to Ballygunner by point.    All of the panel put in a tremendous effort, playing 5 games in total.

Panel: Eoin Daly (capt.), Dara Phelan, Shane Quinlan, Aaron Bailey, Craig Dunphy, Ryan O’ Leary, Evan Long,Cormac Lane, Andy McDonagh and Shane Wyse.

Boys from 2nd/3rd Classes are currently taking part in the Go Games Hurling Blitzes which are taking place at various venues during the month of March.  Scoil Lorcáin are included in a group with Stephen St., Ballygunner and Mount Sion.
