Hurling Competitions

The East Waterford Primary Schools competition started last week with both the Under 11 and Under 13 teams playing their first games. Our Under 13 team played a very strong St. Stephen’s team and were well beaten in the end.  Best players for Scoil Lorcáin were Evan Barry Reid, Craig Dunphy, Eoin Daly, Andy McDonagh and Ryan O’Leary.  The Under 11 team took on Mount Sion in the school field on Tuesday last.  With a very strong wind blowing it turned out to be a game of two halves.  Mount Sion made more use of the wind and ran out winners on a scoreline of Scoil Lorcáin 1-3, Mount Sion 4-2.
