Johnville Football club was founded in 1959 to cater for the needs of the many young boys who were living in St. John's Park.
The club has around 200 members and twelve teams and some of it's players have gone to play professional football in England.
Johnville play their home games in St. Martin's Park which has 1 full sized pitch and a flood lit all weather area.
In the early years they played their games in Ozier Park and Poleberry and then moved to St. Martin's Park in 1969.
Past pupils from Scoil Lorcáin who have represented Ireland include Kevin Power, Mock' Reid, Michael McCabe and Darren Kavanagh who won schoolboy caps. Darren's jersey from the game against France in Paris 1992 is displayed in the school. Glenn Hawe of sixth class is a very skilful player and we hope he will follow in his footsteps.
Alan Roche and Brian Farrell represented Ireland Schools. Alan's schoolboy cap is also on display in the school.
