Summer Camp 2006

This year's Summer Camp, Exploring Pathways to Literacy through the Arts, proved to be a great success.

The summer camp co-ordinated by Mr Flynn, Ms Murphy, Ms Torpey, Ms Griffin and Ms O'Sullivan was attended by 40 boys and ran from the 10th to the 21st of July.

The boys enjoyed a wide range of activities which included art and craft, drama, music, poetry, orienteering, baking and film.  On the final day, the boys presented their own TV channel and news programme to a large audience which included Minister Síle De Valera and course co-ordinator Bernadette Mc Hugh.  All present were very impressed with SLTV.  The news feature, which was presented by Sean O'Brien and Daniel Andrew, included sections such as At the Park, Sports 4 U, Ad Break, Book Launch and Weather Forecast.
