Inter Schools Basketball

For the Fourth year in a row Scoil Lorcáin won the 6th class Inter Schools Basketball Competition.  They defeated Glór na Mara 12-6 in the final which was held in St. Paul’s Community College last week.

6th Class Basketball

Last year Ms Torpey set up a basketball team in the school. During their first year out in the inter-schools league, they went on to win the Second Division Competition.


Basketball Training

In Scoil Lorcáin, there is a basketball team. Every Monday from 2.30 to 3.30 we train. Ms Torpey is our trainer. We usually start off with a few stretches, then a lap around the court. After that there is a practice match. I enjoy basketball because it is athletic. It's fun and most of all, I really enjoy playing it. Basketball is a great sport and you learn something new everyday.
