Mt. Sion travelled out to play Scoil Lorcáin in the second round of the U’11A Hurling League.
Scoil Lorcáin dominated this game throughout against a gallant Mt. Sion team and the final score was never in doubt. Final Score Scoil Lorcáin 6-3, Mt. Sion 0-1.
In their third game of the League, Scoil Lorcáin travelled to De La Salle College to take on St. Declans.
St. Declans played with the wind in the first half and put Scoil Lorcáin backs under a lot of pressure. Goalkeeper Mark Sheridan was kept very busy and made a couple of fine saves. However, St. Declans did manage to score 2 goals in that first half.
Playing with the wind in the 2nd half, Scoil Lorcáin came storming back into the game and took the game to St. Declans. A point from Austin Gleeson was soon followed by a goal from Darragh Flynn. The same player then shot over another point to leave the minimum between the two teams. However the final whistle came too soon and Scoil Lorcáin suffered their 1st defeat.
Final Score Scoil Lorcáin 1-2, St. Declans 2-0.
